The largest ancient castle in the world, with views you will never forget
Free Walking Tour Prague Castle & Charles Bridge
About this experience
Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world. You can visit on your own, but without context it is just an enormous complex where everything looks the same. On this free tour, every stone has a story.
We begin by crossing the Charles Bridge, Prague's most photographed landmark, where your guide will share the legends behind each of its statues. We continue through Malá Strana, the baroque quarter beneath the castle, with a stop at the Church of St Nicholas, one of the finest examples of baroque architecture in all of Europe.
From there we take the tram, a comfortable and authentic way to reach the castle grounds. At the top you will walk through the courtyards of Prague Castle and admire St Vitus Cathedral, the symbol of the city's skyline, with spectacular panoramic views that offer the best photo spot in Prague.
This tour is the perfect complement to the Old Town Free Tour. Together they cover both banks of the Vltava and the three main historic quarters.
